QxMD Read Widget

Client: QxMD
Technologies used: Gulp, JavaScript, JSON, SCSS

QxMD needed to develop a javascript widget that could show collections of articles that users have created through their service Read. The widget needed to autofill content to pre-specified HTML containers.

Gulp was used to compile SCSS and minify the javascript files. CSS and JQuery were autoloaded and all content was put in a separate namespace. Fetching of data was also cached locally so that the server wasn’t overloaded with requests. Backwards compatibility with Internet Explorer 9 was also required.
