PMID Citations with Read

Client: QxMD
Technologies used: CSS3, Gulp, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, SASS

QxMD approached me to modernize their plugin for citations. I added the possibility to add citations using the NCBI api with a drag and drop interface. Citations can also be searched now. I also added the possiblity to insert a collection of read articles using their own solution.

From a technical point of view, the plugin code was restructured to a class based system and caching techniques were also added. The frontend code was separated and uses Gulp for local development and SASS compiling.
