Contact Congress

Client: GXS
Technologies used: JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, Sunlight API, WordPress

Working on custom modifications for Twitget (for Jeffrey Frederick), the client decided to give me a custom WordPress project. It involved creating a senator backend interface that supported different campaigns and users contacting their senators regarding legislations.

Later on, data export was added (into CSV format) and also importing the updated versions of senators and their opinons regarding different matters.

During the course of the project a new feature was requested, to add house representatives to the list and add support to import and export them. The Sunlight API was used to import the data and regulary update it on a weekly cron task that is executed from WordPress itself.
